A frequent Council speaker, Laura Reed has served as Assistant Director of the Five College Program in Peace and World Security Studies, a Fellow in the Managing of the Atom Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and as a Research Scientist in MIT’s Security Studies Program. She was Program Officer at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and served as Secretary of the U.S. Pugwash Committee (which received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995).
